By participating in the Amazon.com Shop with Points program (“SWP”) using Reward Dollars you earned with your eligible American Express card (“Reward Dollars”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions, and the Amazon.com Conditions of Use and American Express Cash Back Program Terms linked at the end of these Terms and Conditions. Please review them carefully, together with the Amazon.com Privacy Notice, to understand Amazon.com’s practices and the rules applicable to your use of SWP with Reward Dollars.
To use Reward Dollars to purchase eligible items at Amazon.com (the “Amazon Site”), your American Express credit card that earns Reward Dollars (“American Express Card”) must be linked to your Amazon Site account through the SWP enrollment process (please refer to the question [“How do I enroll my American Express Card in Shop with Points?”] in the FAQ section to better understand the process) and must not be cancelled or past due. Amazon and/or American Express reserves the right to restrict your use of SWP or to un-enroll your American Express Card from SWP by de-linking it from your Amazon Site account at any time in Amazon’s or American Express’s sole discretion, including when misuse or fraud is suspected.
You agree that Amazon.com Services LLC and its affiliates and/or service providers (collectively, “Amazon”) may share with American Express, its affiliates and/or service providers (collectively, “ American Express”) certain information that you have provided or will provide to Amazon, in each case for the limited purposes of validating your eligibility to participate in SWP and/or, once enrolled, facilitating your participation in SWP through redemption of Reward Dollars, including processing payments for purchases on the Amazon Site for which Reward Dollars were used. You further agree that American Express may share with Amazon certain information that you have provided or will provide to American Express and/or information regarding the number of Reward Dollars available on your American Express Card account, in each case for the limited purposes of validating your eligibility to participate in SWP, linking your Amazon Site account to your American Express Card, and processing any purchases you choose to make by redeeming Reward Dollars. Neither Amazon nor American Express will use information provided to it by the other party in support of SWP for any purpose other than as expressly set forth in this paragraph.
Certain products listed on the Amazon Site are not eligible for purchase using Reward Dollars, and these items may change at any time. For a list of ineligible products, please see the Shop with Points help page linked at the end of these Terms and Conditions. Following enrollment in SWP, during the checkout process for purchases of eligible items on the Amazon Site, you will be presented with the number of Reward Dollars available and the total value of such Reward Dollars that you can apply towards the total cost (including taxes and shipping, as applicable) of the items being purchased. The redemption value of Reward Dollars through SWP is subject to change from time to time at the discretion of American Express, subject to the terms and conditions of your American Express Cardmember Agreement and applicable law. The available Reward Dollars on your American Express Card account may be used for all or a portion of your eligible purchases on the Amazon Site. If you pay for only a portion of an eligible purchase using Reward Dollars, then the balance must be paid using your American Express Card from which the Reward Dollars are applied or an Amazon.com Gift Card. American Express will adjust your account’s total Reward Dollars at the time of purchase. If, after enrolling your American Express Card in SWP, you are still not able to see the Reward Dollars available on your American Express Card account at checkout, please call the number on the back of your American Express Card for assistance. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have enough Reward Dollars on your American Express Card account at the time of redemption. If you do not have enough Reward Dollars at the time they are to be redeemed, you can still complete the purchase by paying the outstanding balance with your American Express Card from which the Reward Dollars are applied or an Amazon.com Gift Card. There is no fee to redeem Reward Dollars on the Amazon Site. Reward Dollars may not be combined with rewards points, rewards cash or other rewards earned from other rewards programs, or with other credit or debit cards, to make purchases using SWP.
Returns are subject to Amazon’s returns policy. If any of the products related to your original order are returned, subject to Amazon’s refund policy, you will receive a credit of the amount charged to your American Express Card first followed by a credit on your Amazon account if you also used an Amazon.com Gift Card. If you would like to request that Reward Dollars be returned to your Reward Dollars account instead of a credit to your American Express Card, you must contact American Express within 60 days of receipt of the credit.
Please note: if your American Express Card Account is linked to an Amazon Site account that is not your own or you allow others to access your Amazon Site account where you have linked your American Express Card Account the Rewards Dollars available and associated total redemption value will be displayed and available for their use.
